Cops Taunted Veteran As He Died - Lawsuit

No doubt they do encounter people faking illness all the time, but there's no excuse for this.
"Cops arrested the Army vet, who had a history of mental illness, at a Marriott hotel on Oct. 21, 2011. Hotel staff called the cops after Williams, who was with his parents, appeared to have a mental breakdown in the lobby. At the time, his only alleged crime was misdemeanor obstruction.

But he paid with his life.

“This guy went almost six days and never got taken to the hospital with a broken neck,” Daniel Smolen, an attorney for Williams’s family, told The Daily Beast. “They’re throwing food at him and making fun of him in the cell while he’s going through a horrific death. You wouldn’t do that to an animal or any living thing.”"

Upsetting article. A lot of the madness going on today in America (at least that is where it's worst) seems to be caused by a combination of nutritional deficiencies and the mass drugging of the population. Perhaps if the medical system paid more attention to nutrition and less attention to pharma contracts, they would be poorer but this kind of debilitating mental illness would be much more scarce.

I dropped the 'black' from the title on purpose. It's important to point out to pro-police whites that corrupt/sadistic people, who always love being in a position of authority, don't just go after blacks. Maybe they hate blacks, maybe they target them because they are easy prey or are unlikely to be rich enough to afford a good lawyer. But this isn't some 'white' or 'black' thing.

The government is corrupt, and because of that, the police and other groups attached to the state feel they can behave just as badly - because they can. They hardly ever face responsibility for their actions. It would be popular for any politician/party to crack down on police abuse, but then a clean police force might start cracking down on corrupt politicians and bankers (real drug dealers) - that would be horrific!
